This page explains how to delete your RACC Members account (the mobile app published by Right Action Charlotte County) and what happens to your data.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the RACC Members app and sign in.
- Tap Profile in the bottom bar.
- Scroll down and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. Your sign-in is removed immediately and you are signed out.
Delete your account by email
If you no longer have the app installed, email secretary@racc1776.com from the address on your membership, with the subject “Delete my account”. The Secretary will delete it and confirm by reply, normally within a few business days.
What is deleted
- Your ability to sign in, and your session on every device
- Your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, employer and occupation
- Your profile photo and your notification token
- Your messages to officers and any photos you attached to them
What is kept, and for how long
The organization keeps a record that a membership existed and the amounts and dates of dues payments, with your personal details removed. This is required for RACC’s financial books under its bylaws and is retained for seven years, in line with normal record-keeping for a membership organization. It cannot be used to identify or contact you.
Delete only some of your data
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove information. You can edit or clear your phone number, address, employer, occupation, working group and photo yourself in the app under Profile → Edit details, or ask the Secretary to correct or remove any detail on your record.
