A Local Action Organization, Not a Party Office
Right Action Charlotte County is a volunteer-led organization covering local government, elections, and community issues in Charlotte County, Florida. We are not staffed, not funded by a campaign, and not anyone’s mailing list.
Local decisions affect families, businesses, and neighborhoods every day, but the information is scattered across agenda portals, PDFs, and meetings held at 9 a.m. on a Tuesday. We gather it, record it, and hand it back to residents in a form they can actually use.

Three Things We Do Differently
Plenty of groups have opinions about local government. Fewer of them show up with the recording, the document, and the page number.
We Cite the Source
Every claim links to an agenda item, an ordinance, a budget line, or a recording. If we cannot source it, we do not publish it.
We Publish in Full
Forums and meetings go up unedited. No clipping, no highlight reel, no summary standing in for what was actually said.
We Invite Everyone
Every candidate in a covered race gets the same invitation, the same questions, and the same time limit. Who accepts is public.

Research & Records
2 to 4 hrs monthly Reads agendas, files public records requests, and turns findings into plain-language briefs.
Media & Podcast
Event based Runs cameras at forums, edits nothing, uploads everything, and books podcast guests.
Events & Forums
Seasonal, heaviest pre-election Books halls, invites candidates, collects resident questions, and runs the room on the night.
Outreach & Faith
Flexible Distributes voter guides, staffs tables at community events, and coordinates with local churches.

Our Vision
A county where a resident can find out what is being decided, who is deciding it, and when the vote happens, in under five minutes, without knowing anyone on the inside.
Transparency is not a favor granted by government. It is the default condition of a free county, and it holds only when residents keep asking.
Our Mission
To keep Charlotte County residents informed and engaged through consistent local updates, recorded public forums, printed voter guides, and educational events.
We share timely information and create opportunities for involvement so residents can understand local issues, participate in their community, and hold local leadership to what it promised.

We hold positions and we say so plainly. We also publish the source material so you can disagree with us using the same documents we used.
Where We Are Headed
Through the 2026 cycle: a candidate forum for every contested county race, a bilingual voter guide in more hands than last cycle, and a searchable archive of every meeting we record.
Beyond that: a running tracker of state bills and county agenda items that affect Charlotte County, updated as they move rather than after they pass.
What We Are Not
We are not a political party, a campaign committee, or a candidate. We do not replace your own research, and we do not ask anyone to take our word for it.
Right Action Charlotte County exists to serve the community, not to speak for it.
