Effective September 21, 2026
Right Action Charlotte County (“RACC”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through the RACC Members mobile app and the racc1776.com website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Membership information you give us — name, email address, phone number, mailing address, employer and occupation (optional), how you heard about us, and your working-group preference. You provide these when you apply for membership, pay dues, or edit your profile.
- Sign-in — we send a one-time code to your email address each time you sign in. We do not store passwords.
- Dues and payments — the date, amount and method of your dues payments. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Messages — messages and photos you send to RACC officers through the app, and their replies.
- Event responses — whether you said you are going to an event.
- Profile photo — only if you choose to add one.
- Device token for notifications — if you allow push notifications, a token that lets us send them to your device. It is not linked to advertising.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifiers, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app.
How we use it
- To maintain your membership record and keep the organization’s roster and dues ledger, as required by our bylaws.
- To send you the announcements, meeting minutes, agendas, reports, event invitations and alerts you have signed up for, by email and by push notification. You can turn each alert category on or off in the app under Updates → Alerts.
- To let RACC officers respond to your messages.
- To process your dues payment and send you a receipt.
Who can see your information
Your membership record is visible only to RACC’s elected officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary) through a private officer panel, each according to their role. We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for their own use. We share data only with the service providers that run the app on our behalf: our web host (Hawk Host), our email provider (Zoho), Stripe for card payments, and Expo for push-notification delivery — each only to the extent needed to provide the service.
How long we keep it
We keep your membership record while you are a member and as long as our bylaws require for the organization’s books. Sign-in codes expire after ten minutes and are discarded. Messages are kept so that you and the officers can refer back to them.
Your choices
- Edit your contact details, working group and photo any time in the app under Profile.
- Notifications can be switched off per topic in the app, or entirely in your phone’s settings.
- Delete your account in the app under Profile → Delete my account. This removes your sign-in, contact details and photo immediately. The organization retains a record that a membership existed and its dues history, as required for its financial books, with your personal details removed.
- You can also ask the Secretary at secretary@racc1776.com to correct or delete your information.
Security
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in tokens are stored in your phone’s secure keychain. Documents and photos are served only through signed, expiring links.
Children
The app is for adult members of the organization and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell members in the app. Questions: secretary@racc1776.com · (941) 888-0135 · Right Action Charlotte County, Charlotte County, Florida.
