Jeannine Polk
Punta Gorda City Council District 1
I am running for the City of Punta Gorda city council. I grew up in Punta Gorda and have resided in
Charlotte County for 50 years. I have a great understanding of the area’s population, its fragility and its
rich history.
My husband is Mike Polk who is a 6th-generation Punta Gordian and our 2 sons are 7th generation Punta
Gordians. Mike is Jeannine’s campaign manager.
I taught in Charlotte County Schools for 16 years and I’ve been involved in my husband’s business for the
past 6 years. C. Michael Polk and Associates is a commercial real estate appraisal firm which has been in
business for over 30 years.
Mike and I have developed commercial properties in Charlotte County with partners. At one time, we had
24,000 SF of office and retail buildings that we developed, managed and maintained for 10 years. I have a
deep understanding of the CURRENT MARKET CONDITIONS and REALISTIC expectations for
development.
I was the proud campaign manager for Dr. Debi Lux who won over the incumbent with 72% of the vote
in this past November election (District 3 of Punta Gorda).
I am a PROUD American and looking forward to serving THE PEOPLE in the city of Punta Gorda.
